The Misbourne School is situated on the banks of the River Misbourne in the Buckinghamshire village of Great Missenden. It is a very popular secondary school and is well known for the variety of activities it offers to its students with music, drama, and travel high on the agenda.

Eleanor Lilley is the organiser of the Azezo link and is full of enthusiasm to make this a really special experience within her school. A group of Misbourne staff travelled out to Azezo in the autumn of 2004 and received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from staff and pupils alike. A group visit by Misbourne students is now in the planning stages and is due to happen at the end of October 2005. Meanwhile letter-writing and fundraising is the order of the day as the students in both schools get to know each other.

The Azezo Secondary School is one of the five secondary schools in the immediate vicinity of Gondar. Azezo is a simple and lively village just outside Gondar with a regular and busy market that serves many people from the surrounding countryside. The Azezo School site is large and open with solid well built classrooms. Its director is Ato Belayne and he and the link organiser, Ato Medesse, are both very keen indeed to make firm friends with their colleagues in England.

Gondar has just one other secondary school that is keen not to be left out of this linking game! Any interested party, please contact chris@gondarlink.org.uk.
