The Angareb school is named after one of the main rivers of the Gondar area and nestles attractively in a low valley below Gondar. Until very recently it was a school with no connection to the main electricity system, but GondarLink was able to help with this in tandem with the local authority. Thanks also to GondarLink, the Angareb school now has its first four computers to put into its pre-prepared computer room. The Director is Ato Tadesse, with Ato Amlaku taking particular responsibility for the Coleridge link. The Coleridge School is in Cambridge, to the north-east of London, and the link is the brainchild of Mrs Andy Warner, an experienced and enthusiastic teacher at the school. Despite initial problems with confirming the link, the Coleridge students have already been communicating by letter with the Angareb pupils and there is undoubtedly a fund of interest and energy all ready to be tapped here.
